scott silva Final Exams

My plans for this summer
I have a lot of things paned for this summer. I will be going to six flags whith a couple of other people. I am also going to palm Beach Florida where i will be staying there for a couple weeks and staying at a hotel. We will go to the beach everyday to hang and to fish.

The number one thing I am looking forward to is no school. I can sleep late everyday and party till 4 in the morning or never go to bed. I will proply be in Providence for most of my summer. Going to the Beach is my mission for this summer.

This summer I will be doing so much stuff I cant even think of right now. When im in florida I am going to universal studios. Those are my plans for this summer.

My plans for summer vacation by Edward Clair

Summers finally here which means no more waking up at fricking 5:30 to go to school. I plan on sleeping in late believe me. I also have a few ideas planned for my summer.

I have decided that I will set up a dungeons and dragons game circle so I can play with my friends on a designated day of the week. That's right folks I am a geek and proud of it. I think I'm also gonna work with the virtual machine program I have and come back to school with uber skills.

Fortunately my back field is green lush and ready to play paint ball in. Of course that might end quickly with the fact that I keep killing my friends with my 98 custom and ghille suit. Also gonna have my b-day party this summer instead of september so we can take advantage of my pool. I may not look like it but, I swim like a fish in the water.

Have a nice summer guys and girls.

PERIOD 2 FINAL EXAM

The exam has several different sections. Each will involve creating different types of files. None will have anything to do with answering true/false or multiple choice questions. We haven’t had any of those all year, and I certainly don’t intend to start now.

Section I Website design with VISUAL PAGE 35 points
Create a folder named after yourself, plus the word EXAM
Use Visual Page to create four webpages inside this folder
One of these pages must be named after you
The other three can be named any appropriate name you choose for them
The page named after you must have links to the other three
The other three must have links back to the first page
All four pages must have either a background color or picture
The “start page” (meaning the one named after you) must have the name of the SCHOOL APPROPRIATE topic of this website
One of the other pages must have an essay of not less than two paragraphs of at least two complete sentences each about some LEGAL/SCHOOL APPROPRIATE activity you enjoy
Another page must contain at least two images associated with this activity
The remaining page must have hyperlinks to at least three websites out on the Internet dedicated to this activity.

Section II Wikispaces 35 points
Using the wiki of which you are already a member, please do the following:
Create a new wiki page, naming after yourself plus the words “final exam”
On this page, create at least five external links to websites having to do with any ONE of the following people who have been important in the development of the computer industry:
Steven Wozniak
Phil Katz
Shawn Fanning
Douglas Engelbart
Sergei Brin and Larry Page
Linus Torvalds
H. Edward Roberts
Tim Berners-Lee
Jerry Yang and David Filo
C. J. Rapp

Beneath these links, please write an essay of not less than three paragraphs of at least two complete sentences each about the contributions made to computers or computer culture by the person or persons you found five links for
If possible, please find and upload an image of this person to your wiki page; however, if it proves to be taking too darned long to accomplish this, do not worry about it.

Section III Blogging 35 points
Log in and make a post to our blog of not less than three paragraphs of at least three sentences each about what your plans are after school is finally over.

Cheers,
Mr. L

NEW YORK — The average price of regular gas crept up to $4 a gallon for the first time over the weekend, passing the once-unthinkable milestone just in time for the peak summer travel season.

Prices at the pump are expected to keep climbing, especially after last week's furious surge in oil prices, which neared $140 a barrel in a record-shattering rally Friday.

While Americans who have to drive will feel the biggest squeeze, the increased prices also translate into higher costs for consumers and businesses, who will be forced to shoulder increased costs for food and anything else that needs to be transported.

Sean Hynes

I would fly to Italy were I am from so I can study and see the cultures

Bermuda !!

In 20 years from now I would love to go to Bermuda. Bermuda looks like a beautiful place to visit. It has a mild sub-tropical climate. The time I would like to visit Bermuda is in the winter because the temperature is an average between 60 and 70 degrees which is perfect because I don't like the hot weather or the cold weather and this seems like a perfect temperature for me. Being able to leave Massachusetts for a couple of weeks would be nice.
I would like to stay at a hotel called Coco Reef Resort Bermuda. This is a hotel that looks like a place that you can just relax at and when u step outside you step into beautiful pink soft sand. This is located on one of the best beach's in Bermuda. Also while I am there I would like to visit the Dolphin Quest which is where you get a chance to touch, play, and learn about dolphins.
While I am in Bermuda I would love to go to one of the nightclubs there called "Light". This nightclub is located on the waters edge. Another place I would like to visit while I am there would be a couple of the beaches. One of the beaches would be West Whale Bay in Southampton Parish where there are whales that you can see while they are on their way to migrate. Bermuda is a place I would love to visit and hopefully one day I will get the chance to go there.

Where would i go?

In 20 years I dont know where i would want to go at that time. But right now my dream place to go would be Australia. Every since I have seen the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movie, "Our Lips are Sealed" i wanted to go there. The water, animals, weather and just the scenery is amazing.
In Australia, I would enjoy the weather and beaches. Just being in a new environment would be nice. There would be many things to do see and the different styles of buildings and even the plant and animal life. Maybe I would see a lot of kangaroos.
When ever I see movies in Australia I want to go more and more. I love the accent of the people and the surrounding. I would love to go scuba diving and see the coral reefs and the different fish. Also, the city part would be nice to shop and walk around. Overall, Australia would be a new and different experiment.

what if you could fly in space ?

If we could fly in space it would give you so much extra time. Instead of traveling in a plane for like 4 to 5 hours flying to Cali, you could get thier in like 15 minutes in a space plane. It would be amazingly cool to fly in space in general, but knowing that you are saving so much time flying in space instead of earth makes it so much better. If i had a space plane i would probably fly around space searching for what ever i could find.
There so much that people could. I'm sure we would probably have cities on the moon and all other places in space in no time at all. Soon space planes would just be like a regular because everyone would want onew and they would sell like crazy for sure. who would'nt want a space plane right?
A good reason i would search the universe would be for resources that we need like oil and fossil fuels that we are slowly running out of. I actually think that sooner or later we are going to have to adventure out into space in search of resources. If not, we probably will fun out of resources that we depend on and then what do we do? So overall, space planes would be a great way to travel instead of regual earth planes.
Its 20 years from now, and i am choosing to fly to Hawaii. I would pick Hawaii, because i have been to so many islands and they were great. I heard Hawaii is so pretty, and wicked nice weather all the time. I would love to go to Hawaii and experience surfing while being there.
If i was in Hawaii i would surf, scuba dive, i would love to try para sailing and relax on the beach. Surfing i would do because i have done it on the back of a boat with a big wake, but i would love to do it with real waves in the ocean. I went scuba diving in Grand cayman with sting rays, but scuba diving in Hawaii there would be so much more to see. My brother went para sailing and he told me how much fun it was, so i wanted to try that sometime. Relaxing on the beach is just nice to do while being on vacation.
If i was in Hawaii i would want to spend it there in a nice hotel, i would stay at pleasant hotels in Lanai Hawaii. This hotel has lots of service, it is very cheep, and they have a inside pool to swim in at night. They have activities there, and it is right next to a beach, which is great. I looked it up on line and there were comments on the website saying how good the service is, and that the workers there are very polite. Hawaii is definitely somewhere i would love to go someday.

Where would I travel?

Well, first I would take a flight to Germany to check out the sights, eat awesome German food, an do some shopping. Then I would take a quick stop in Prague to see the sights. Then take around the world in 20 minutes adventure just for the hell of of it. After I landed I would continue to the next countries that I feel like.

Next i would hit Tokyo, Japan for fresh sushi (yum) and pick up a few swords for my collection. Also I would see if I could find a Ninjitsu school for some training. Also I would visit the Nintendo head quarters and i would shop for cheap electronics too. Then I would hit China for MORE food and cheap but quality electronics.

Next I would fly to Hawaii (again it's worth it) and hang out in Maui for awhile. Next I would fly to Chile for the culture, also Peru and Brazil. Finally I would make my way to London to enjoy the sights and food. Then I would hop over to Ireland for more food and shopping and of course the sights. Finally I would fly to Scotland to see the Loch and to listen to authentic bagpipes. To get home the plane would fly over my house within the atmosphere and I would do a HALO jump with my stuff (parachutes attached to them too) back to my house and my trip would be complete.

Anthony Felice where i would fly!!!!!

well seeing as how the whole world is boring i would fly the shortest distance possible. This is in order to get in the world record books as the nearest vacation arrived at the highest speed. I would first have to commandeer one of these space planes and from there i would have to learn how to fly one. Also i would need a lot of money for fuel and what not.

i would probably fly to like franklin if i could just to be like "Yay im awesome". then i would take the plane and show it off to people. it wouldnt really matter where in the world i would go. All i would want to do is fly around in space for a few minutes.

I could then take plane all the way around the world going full speed. This would accomplish nothing really besides being fun. When i get to my desination i would walk home haha just for the hell of it. These planes are the way of the future!!!

Current freakin Events

Alright, so a lot of people in this class probably like guitar hero right? Well, the new "game" (more like expansion pack) for Aerosmith doesn't have me very excited. However, the next band they have set their eyes on is none other than one of the greatest metal bands of all time. Metallica!!

As you might imagine I can't freaking wait, this game is going to be freaking awesome. Unfortunately, no date has been set except for 2009 and there has been no set system for it. I also wonder if it will follow the story of the band like the Aerosmith band did, like the fight with napster. My only worry is that I will have to play their craptastic Saint Anger album.

current event write

I am writing about how coach Flip Saunders will not be returning to coach the Detroit Pistons next season. I think this is a bad idea for the Detroit Franchise seeing as he led the Pistons to a 176-70 record over 3 seasons. There are alot of bad teams in the NBA that could really use Flip Saunders to turn their team around for example Charollete, Phoenix, Miami, and Toronto.

I strongly belive that whatever team hires Flip as head coach will be completly turned around and a future playoff team that could go pretty far in the playoffs next year.

Astronauts prepare to walk in space

Shuttle Discovery's astronauts prepared for the first spacewalk of their mission Tues for the installation of Japan's giant lab onto the international space station. The two spacecraft linked up Monday, and ten space travelers immediately got ready to mobilize.
Discovery's spacewalkers, Michael Fossum and Ronald Garan Jr., will prep the $1,000,000,000 lab, named Kibo (Japanese for hope) for installation.

Astronauts working from inside will use a robot arm to lift the bus-size lab from the shuttle and anchor it to the station. Kibo, at 37 feet long, is bigger than the U.S. and European labs already attached to the space station. The spacewalkers also will try out some cleaning methods on a jammed solar rotating joint that has hampered energy production at the space station since last fall, and help remove a 50-foot inspection boom from the orbiting complex.

canada's current event

on November 25, 2007 the Saskatchewan Rough riders defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 23 - 19. So the Saskatchewan Rough Riders won the canadian football league's grey cup.

The story i picked to write this blog about is called 1 killed after alleged drunk driver plows into bike race. This is about there being a bicycle race along the highway near the mexico border. A guy was drunk and interfered into the race by crashing into the people on the bikes. He fell asleep in his car then drove off the rode into the race.
This crashed killed one biker, and he injured 10 other bikers. The crash happened 15 minutes into the race it took place along a highway near playa Bagdad and Matamoros. This crash happen on june 1st.

Chinese parents protesting after earthquake.

The article I read about was the parents in China who were protesting after the earthquake that happened last month on May 12, 2008. They were protesting because they think the schools were poorly constructed and they don't think they should have collapsed like they did. Today on June 3, 2008 the police had to drag more than 100 parents who were protesting. Their children went to a school where more then 270 students died after the schools collapsed on them.
After looking at the collapsed school buildings they found that no steel reinforcing bars had been used in construction, only iron wire. The death toll from this horrible earthquake keeps increasing. There are 69,107 people dead and 18,230 people still missing. Also this earthquake left 5 million people homeless. There are many soldiers there helping these people and three days ago a transport was carrying 19 people, 14 of them people injured in the quake, when it flew into fog and turbulence and crashed Saturday. There are thousands of soldiers who have been searching for this military helicopter.

Paul Pierce is home at last!!!!

The Boston Celtics are in the NBA Finals. They have not made it to the NBA Finals in 21 years. Now that they have made it the big question is can they win it all. Paul Pierce the captain of the team has been looking forward to this moment ever since he stepped on a basketball court. He grew up in Los Angeles, California watching the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics playing for multiple NBA titles. Paul Pierce was interviewed after he and his team had eliminated the Detroit Pistons Friday night. He said "as a kid, I hated the Celtics." He is most happy about finally making it to the finals but also because he gets to go to his home town and play against the team he loved as a kid.

Current Events

Today (June 3) in Rome many world leaders met at U.N.'s Food and Agriculture Organization. Here they discussed the increasing prices of food. They also discussed how to help world hunger. The food production must rise by 50 percent by 2030 to meet the increasing demand.
"Today's problem will only grow larger tomorrow unless we act now today," said the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. They all agreed that they would have to act quickly and together as one. The leaders would meet in Rome for a total of 3 days. The pope feels that we have enough resources in the world and should not be having trouble feeding the hunger or producing food. They would be using 30 billion dollars a year to help with the problems.

similarities and differences on search engines

The search engines i used were dogpile, icerocket, alltheweb, kooltorch, and webbrain. I found webbrain was the best one because of the way it worked and how detailed it was. All the others were similar to each other. The ones I found most usefull was webbrain and icerocket. I think Kooltorch was a bad one because it was a little to compicated for people to use. The search engines i would recomend are dogpile, icerocket, webbrain, and allthewebb.

search engines

For ask.com as you type in your search, some related ideas and links pop up and helps you narrow down the search. Lycos.com has a home page to sign in and for all my searches i used hannah montana. For that search they had more links to buying hannah items than more about her. For ujiko.com you need to download flash before using it so i was unable to search. For chacha.com you enter your question with your phone number and it will send it to you there. Icerocket.com is similar to google and is just a general search engine.

Search Engines by Edward Clair

I searched for Lovecraft.

Google- Google is a straight forward search engine. Nothing too special about it except it gets the job done in 0.20 seconds.

Ask Jeeves- Ask Jeeves is just as fast as google except it puts more neat features on the page such as pictures, biographies, and search narrowing.

Ujiko- Ujiko sucks a lot. One page of search results and 75% of them were ads.

Quintara- Quintara was pretty straight forward good results at a fast search time.
I searched the New England Patriots on all five of the search engines. They were all mostly similar in what websites came up. The first website on all of the search engines was the official website to the New England Patriots. A couple of them were different with what other websites they came up with. Some of the search engine came up with a website where you can buy tickets to the games like lycos.com and websites about the players.

cheerleading

I did my portaportal search engines on cheerleading. I went to five different links to look up this topic. On all the different links everything was pretty much the same. The only thing that is different is that they showed, and displayed different cheers. They also displayed pictures of different types of stunts.

my inventions

The thing that I would invent would be, a clone machine. I would do this because then people would never be bored anymore. If you were bored then you could just clone someone and then you could go out and have fun with your clone.

if i were to make this then i would make alot of money because who doesnt want a clone for themselves?

Anthony Felice Invention

I am going to invent the ultimate home appliance. The base will be a coffee maker teamed up with not 1 but 7 toasters, and an easy bake oven.

A charcoal grill and a gas grill will be the cooking surfaces and there will be a bottomless soda fountain vending machine. There will be two TVs in it along with a Wii, Xbox, PS3, and a 360.

A nuclear fission reactor will power this devise and may explode. There is a 99.9825% fail rate on this device due to complexities.

Other than that i should be a millionare nahhh billionaire by tueday. This thing is only gunna cost like $12 and 43 cents.

phone

the thing that i would invent is a phone that tells everything that is going to happen in the future. for example like what is going to be the score of game 7 of the nba finals. the front cover would consist of a touch screen that has the numbers and letters to dial numbers and text. there will be this button that you press and a projection screen comes out of the phone and you can watch live tv and movies.

the phone is a going to be a flip phone and the inside screen is going to be a touch screen that has a keyboard. you can also watch live tv and movies and live sports events. this phone also has a teleport station that you can walk into it and you can pick on a place that you want to go to. if you want to go to hawaii you just click on a link, like on a computer and yo will get teleported there. if you want to go to game 7 of the nba finals you find yourself there in about 10 minutes.

also on this phone you can receive credits by how many miles you travel. the credits can be turned into money. which you can buy clothes, movies, songs from limewire, and tickets to concerts, and sporting events. this phone will have everything in it that you need. you can buy food. basically this phone, has a phone, computer, teleportation system and store inside of it.

the problems that i could see happening with this phone is that the teleportation system doesnt work. the computer part of it doesnt work, and the phone in general because there is so much stuff inside of it. the phone might be really slow because there is alot of memory going through it and it might freeze ever so often.

My Invention

My invention would be a special machine that would get you ready in the morning with just a push of a button. All you have to do is step into the machine and press a button. The button will brush your teeth and hair and also put on an outfit in a matter of seconds. It could also be used for changing into your pjs or anytime during the day.

This machine would be about the size of a closet so you could stand in it. You would say what you would like done, like change of clothes and hair and the voice activator would process it and you would then hit a button when your ready and in a blink of an eye its done.

I would want this to be invented, because it would make much more time in your day. In the morning you could wake up in the last minute and get ready in time and go to work or school. This personally would make my day much easier.

Any problems would be technical problems. If the machine would not work properly and give you funky outfits or anything related to that.

Christian Seeking Clown Launcher

This is a super rocket powered by Jolt with clowns for ammo. This particular weapon of mass hilarity will use a fusion core powered by Jolt the best drink ever made. Then the fusion core will put a pure blast of energy launching the clown through the air at 300 miles and above. All the while an advanced targeting system will lock on to annoying and tyrannical christians (and basically any religion related to them). It will be free for anyone NOT christian and it will be mandatory to have one to fight off Jehovah's witnesses. Also, if you run out of Jolt it will be powered by free thought and non-prejudice.

inventionn.

I think that magic should be invented, =] i would want this to be invented because if there was magic you could get everything you wanted.
There is nothing i could do to have magic be invented, it would never happen. It was the only thing at the moment that i could think of that i would want invented that is already.
If there was magic so many more people in this world be be happier then they are. Its not even like super powers, with magic you would have every supper power in the world.
Also if magic is invented, then everything that anyone wanted to be invented would be invented.

needed invention

invention: a pill that will prevent you from sleeping but will keep healthy and able to function for up to a week straight. this pill could have massive amounts of caffeine and vitamins to keep you awake for a week straight!
-i would want this to be invented to stay awake. Being awake for 24 hours a day would make you be able to have time to do so much more to do so much more things that would need to be done.
-this pill could also have very bad side effects. the massive amount of caffeine could damage your body or maybe you could get insomnia from not sleeping for a week.

Final Exam

My plans for what i am doing after school are to go to summer school. After i get my diploma i will by either attending college or getin a job and takiung a year off from school. Maybe do a little bit of traveling.
My main goal is to go to college first. I will be trying to go to new england tech. i will be going there to study auto mechanics.
I plan to stay in Bellingham while i decide on what is best for my future. If it comes down to it and i cannot afford college then that is when i shall be getting a job.
shawn fanning was born on november 22nd, 1980 in brockton, massachusetts. he is best known for developing napster, the first popular file sharing platform, in 1998. fanning spent months writing codes for this program that could provide an easy way to download music. his roommate gave him the idea to developed this program while attending Northeastern Universityin Boston, Massachusetts. fanning later appeared on the cover of wired magazine and rose to fame. napster was the target of several music industry backed lawsuits.

douglas engelbart

Douglas Engelbart was born on January 30th 1925, and is famous for the invention of the computer mouse. Douglas Engelbart is a pioneer of human computer interactions whose team developed "hypertext". He accomplished the invention of the computer mouse and completly changed america with it. There are millions of people in the world with computers that all have a mouse and you cant work a computer without one. My guess is that this man is very very very rich. Douglas Engelbart is still alive, he is 83 and is a resident of Oregon. I make use of this invention every day and im using one as we speak.

C. J. Rapp

C. J. Rapp is the inventor of the drink Jolt. His company is Wet Planet Beverges, which markets ten beverage brands in 22 countries. The jolt drink had the maximum amount of caffenine that was allowed and also has many other products in the market. Many students and adults use this drink to stay awake and have energy. Personally, I have never tried Jolt or any drinks from C. J. Rapp.

C. J. Rapp by Anthony Felice

C.J. Rapp is an American beverage inventor known for inventing Jolt Cola. The drink contains 72 mg of caffine and was developed in 1985. Rapp promoted his cola by emphasizing that it had twice the caffeine found in other colas. The slogan on every bottle and can of Jolt read "Twice the Caffeine." He is a very wealthy indivdual for creating such a sweeeeeet product. Im not sure of his age but the drink is 23 years old and thats all that matters. I have def used this product and it is extremely good, sadly i have not used it today however. . .

The Melissa virus is a mass-mailing macro virus. First found on March 26, 1999, Melissa shut down Internet mail systems that got clogged with infected e-mails propagating from the worm. Melissa was not originally designed for harm, but it overflowed servers and caused unplanned problems.Melissa was first distributed in the Usenet discussion group alt.sex. The virus was inside a file called "List.DOC", which contained passwords that allow access into 80 pornographic websites. The worm's original form was sent via e-mail to many people.

electronic devices

Virtual Surround Sound
Virtual surround sound has the same effect as having 4 or 5 speakers around the TV, but it uses fewer speakers and not as many cables. These systems come in two kinds 2.1 surround and digital sound projection. Most of the time, 2.1-surround systems use two speakers in front of the listener and a subwoofer placed somewhere else in the room. These sound like 5.1 surround system which has five speakers and a subwoofer. Digital sound projectors, on the other hand, use a single strip of small speakers to produce sound. Many digital sound projectors do not include a subwoofer. Both of these systems work in the same way. They use certain techniques to modify sound waves so that they seem to come from more speakers than are really there. These techniques came from the study of psychoacoustics, which means the manner in which people perceive sound.

Ashley Viveiros "HSW"

McLaren F1

  • Revealed to the public in May 1992 and was on the road by 1994.
  • BMW Motorsports was contracted to design and build the engine.
  • One good thing the McLaren F1 has is that the driver’s seat is personally fitted to each owner.
  • Another good thing about the McLaren F1 is that it has two passenger seats mounted slightly behind on each side of the driver seat.
  • One drawback to this car is that it is very small.
  • I do not own a McLaren F1 because they are very expensive but i would love to own one because i like small cars and i also love going fast.

Melissa Laquerre, "HSW" digital cameras

Eugene F. Lally of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory published the first description of how to produce still photos in a digital domain using a mosaic photosensor. The concept included camera design elements foreshadowing the first digital camera. Texas Instruments designed a filmless analog camera in 1972, but it is not known whether it was ever built. The first recorded attempt at building a digital camera was in 1975 by Steven Sasson, an engineer at Eastman Kodak. It used the then-new solid-state CCD image sensor chips developed by Fairchild Semiconductor in 1973. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_cameras#Early_development

Two good things of a digital camera are to take pictures of moments to remeber and also when it was first built it was used to provide onboard navigation information to astronauts during missions to planets.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_cameras#Early_development

One drawback is the difficulty to learn how to work the camera and get the perfect pictures.

I have a digital camera and I use it to take pictures for fun or specail occasions.

Tavares HSW 1966 Chevelle ss

First came about in 1966.
Created by Chevrolet
Two other inventions that made it possible were the engine and the brakes
This invention helps you get around and go fast
One possible drawback is gas consumption
I wished i owned one of them

Today's assignment, Monday May 19

Today in Smart Lab, you will need to do the following:A) go to this website http://www.howstuffworks.com/
and pick out one topic from either the computer section
at http://computer.howstuffworks.com/

or from the electronics section at http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/

or from the automotive section at http://auto.howstuffworks.com/

The choice of topic is yours. For example, in the automotive section, there are articles about how motorcycles work, about alternative fuels, hybrid cars, all kinds of stuff. Likewise, the electronics section has articles about the inner workings of “Guitar Hero”, how DVRs work, and the history of mp3 music. The computer section has articles about how USB memory sticks work, how DVD players work, where Linux came from, etc etc.

B) Once you’ve chosen a topic, you need to find out at least the following about whatever topic you’ve elected to look at:
ü When the thing was first invented
ü The person, or persons or companies involved in its creation
ü Two other inventions which made this thing possible
ü At least two good things which this gadget or invention does
ü At least one possible drawback to having this device
ü Do you already own one of them, and what ways do you use it.
C) All the answers to the questions listed above will have to be answered in a blog post, which you will make on our blog -- you know, the one where you have to log in first! Please save this new blogpost with your name, plus the letters “HSW” plus the name of the device you read about
D) Also, this blog posting must have a link to the EXACT webpage where you got your information from.

Cheers --- Mr. L

rootkit

A rootkit is a program (or combination of several programs) designed to take fundamental control (in Unix terms "root" access, in Windows terms "Administrator" access) of a computer system, without authorization by the system's owners and legitimate managers. Access to the hardware (ie, the reset switch) is rarely required as a rootkit is intended to seize control of the operating system running on the hardware. Typically, rootkits act to obscure their presence on the system through subversion or evasion of standard operating system security mechanisms. Often, they are also Trojans as well, thus fooling users into believing they are safe to run on their systems. Techniques used to accomplish this can include concealing running processes from monitoring programs, or hiding files or system data from the operating system.[1]

The caffeine molecule t-shirt -- on sale!!!

OK, I'm only going to say this once: stop telling me how bad it is for me to drink so much caffeinated soda! I don't drink, I don't smoke, I hardly eat any meat, my lunch consists of fruit, veggies, yogurt, shredded wheat in a bag, fruit juice and a salad. If you're reading this, whoever you are, whatever your age, there's a good chance I will outlive you all.

So if I want to drink ONE JOLT PER DAY...so be it!

Besides, most people eat their candy, I just want to drink mine. 'Nuff said!

In any event, Thinkgeek.com has their legendary "caffeine molecule" t-shirt on sale this week. Just thought you might appreciate the FYI.

Cheers,
